Countywide civic learning initiative moves for 'community ready' students

On March 13, Alameda County Superintendent L. Karen Monroe helped launch a countywide effort, part of a statewide effort called the Power of Democracy, to revive civic learning and ensure that our children are college, career, and community ready. Read more about what it means for our students to be community ready and check out a few great examples of civic learning happening across the county.
