Countywide civic learning initiative moves for 'community ready' students

On March 13, Alameda County Superintendent L. Karen Monroe helped launch a countywide effort, part of a statewide effort called the Power of Democracy, to revive civic learning and ensure that our children are college, career, and community ready.
