The Arts Active Parent program seeks to unite Alameda County parents across school and district lines to create a regional voice that can help change schools for the better. Parents are in a special position to see the importance of nurturing the whole child to create happy, balanced individuals who can realize their potential in their community and society. The Arts Active Parent project reaches a large and growing group of community members with a monthly newsletter, educational and advocacy events, collaborations with other community organizations, and support of parent leaders at school sites who are working to promote quality learning in and through the arts.
