ACOE NLCC began in Hayward in 2002 with funding from the California Nutrition Network. With the current crisis in poor nutrition and physical activity, we work with our community to eat the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables and be active everyday.

The project provides hands-on integrated nutrition education and professional development to teachers and staff. The Nutrition Connection provides instructors in growing the best vegetables and how to prepare them. In After school, Adult classes, gardens, cafeterias, and classrooms materials are provided so everyone can make healthy choices.
