The History-Social Science unit focuses on professional development and creating opportunities for teacher collaboration and advancement. Our major program, “Words That Made America” (WTMA), provides U.S. history teachers with many different opportunities to engage with eminent historians and with each other in the study of cutting-edge scholarship and effective classroom practice.
