The Alameda County Office of Education and San Leandro High School are partnering to prevent and reduce school violence through 1) gang, 2) school culture and climate and 3) race and identity interventions. Specific remedies include a Gang Counselor, the establishment of a Student Assistance Program, the expansion of the Service-Learning strategy, and the gradual creation of an Advisory Period. These interventions will be organized into an integrated multi-leveled approach.
