Now recruiting Paraeducators for 2008
Do you want to become a teacher?

A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell
where his influence stops. —
Henry Adams

If you are a paraeducator assisting in a classroom or working in an after school program and want to become a teacher, Transition to Teaching (T3) for Paraeducators is designed for you. The path to becoming a teacher does not need to be confusing and difficult for the busy working adult.

To apply, contact Joelle Fraser, 510.670.7702; email para@acoe.org .

Tuition, Books, and Public Transportation are Paid For

Thanks to a generous grant from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, paraeducators who commit to working toward their teaching credential will receive scholarships for tuition and books. Those who are eligible will also receive public transportation stipends.

Designed for Working Adults

T3 for Paraeducators is an ideal choice for working adults to earn their B.A. degree and teaching credential without disrupting their lives. Classes are in the evenings, on weekends, and online. Course credit may also be acquired by attending focused week-long summer institutes and through structured paraeducator work experience.

Focused Academic Counseling

T3 for Paraeducators provides the focused counseling busy working students need to ensure a straightforward, coherent path toward a credential and a teaching contract.
