Chief Business Officer Training (SB352)

ACOE is proud to announce the launch of the Chief Business Officer (CBO) Training Program developed in partnership with CASBO, CCSESA, ACSA, CSBA, CASH, School Services of California and FCMAT.

The CBO Training Program is an 18-month innovative approach to CBO training that combines the training experience and expertise of six organizations which have a long history of successfully providing training to school business staff. Experienced and practicing CBOs, many of whose names you will recognize, as well as other education professionals, developed and provide the curriculum.

The curriculum includes everything a potential CBO needs to know to ensure success: finance and budget, student transportation, food services, leadership roles, risk management, maintenance and operations, etc. It is presented in a lecture format, using small group projects, and out of class assignments. Checking for comprehension and evaluations are also included.
