Retirement Counseling Is for Everyone

Successful planning can help maximize you enjoyment during your retirement years. Counseling service is available to assist STRS members in their retirement planning. The counselor will discuss retirement planning and will provide you with an estimate of your retirement allowance.

To schedule an appointment by phone, please call (510) 670-4200 at 8:45-12:30pm to speak to someone personally. You may call at any other time and leave a
voice message.

To request an appointment by e-mail, send a message to ShirleyL@acoe.org. PLEASE, DO NOT E-MAIL ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING YOUR RETIREMENT, as this e-mail address responds to appointment scheduling only.

If you have a disability or legal case, please inform the appointment coordinator so a longer appointment period can be scheduled.

Appointments are usually scheduled six to eight weeks in advance. Please provide several dates and times of preference, along with the following information about yourself:

• Full name as shown on your STRS statement
• Home address
• Home phone number
• Work phone number
• Client ID Number
• Number of years with STRS
• School district
