2007-08 Assessment Overview

In 2007-08, Student Programs & Services Division will administer the following state tests in our court, community, and Cal-SAFE programs.

Testing Students
California Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Program

 

 

CAHSEE: California High School Exit Exam
Students must pass both Mathematics and English Language Arts sections in order to receive a regular high school diploma. Here are the test dates for the 2007-2008 school year:

Star Bullet CAHSEE for 11th and 12th Grades: November 6-7, 2007.
Star Bullet CAHSEE for 10th, 11th, 12th Grades: March 11-12, 2008.
Star Bullet CAHSEE 10thand 12th Grades make-up only exam: May 6-7, 2008

CELDT: California English Language Development Test

Administration of this test of speaking, listening, reading and writing in English is given only to students whose Home Language Survey indicates a language other than English.

Students take the test during their first month of enrollment

High School Graduation Equivalency Tests

Our schools also provide opportunities for students who are 18 years old and older to receive a California High School Equivalency Certificate by taking a test commonly known as the GED, or General Educational Development test.
