CELDT: California English Language Development Test
- This test is triggered each year when a student or parent notes a language other than English on the Home Language survey given to every student.
- All eligible students must be tested annually by October 31. Thereafter, the CELDT must be administered and scored individually on-site within 30 calendar days of enrollment.
CAHSEE: California High School Exit Exam
- Passage of both the Mathematics and English Language Arts sections is required for a regular diploma.
- The first test will be administered to eleventh and twelfth grade students who have not passed on November 6-7, 2007.
- The second test administration for Court and Community tenth through twelfth grade students will be conducted on March 11-12, 2008.
- The second test for Cal-SAFE sites will be administered to tenth through twelfth grade students on May 6-7, 2008.
- The third test administration for all sites will be conducted on a date TBD. For tenth grade students, this is a make-up only administration. Students may only take the CAHSEE once in the tenth grade.
STAR Testing
Title I Computerized Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Math and Reading Tests:
- Staff administer to all students within one week of enrollment and at ~75 day intervals.
California Healthy Kids Survey
- This hour-long survey will be administered to all students at all sites.
California Youth Physical Fitness Tests
- This mandatory test for Community school and Cal-SAFE students in grades 7 and 9 will be given at sites.
High School Graduation Equivalency Tests
Students should discuss these options and their limitations with a teacher.
- General Educational Development (GED) Test
- California High School Proficiency Examination can be administered by a teacher on site.
