Educational Technology Support Services provides instructional and administrative technology support to districts and schools within Alameda County. The department strives to provide quality services and programs aimed at improving student outcomes and promoting professional growth within the educational community. This is largely accomplished through the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of technology-enhanced learning environments based upon best practices in pedagogical approaches and timely research findings.

Among the services that we offer are:

• Rich media subscription contracts including technology-enhanced curricular resources, video-on-demand, and online library databases
• Professional development services including application training and support for online learning programs
• Instructional design consultation with an emphasis on blended and online learning environments
• Assistance in technology planning and change implementation based on reviews of current relevant research
• E-rate consulting
• Video production services including original compositions and re-purposing of content for a variety of uses
• Distributed learning (online) support consulting including both software and pedagogical best practices
• Technology planning and grant writing consulting
• Data management and reporting consultation including student information systems and CSIS reporting
