Join ACOE's History-Social Science Community of Practice!
In order to support Alameda County History-Social Science teachers and leaders' efforts to build their content expertise, and to fully implement the CA History-Social Science Framework, the ACOE Core Learning Department has developed a robust, virtual History-Social Science Community of Practice. The focus of that professional community will be to:
- Provide Regional and State History Social Science policy updates
- Share and discuss promising instructional practices and high-quality, asynchronous and synchronous learning resources
- Explore ways to integrate multiple content areas, and to incorporate anti-racist teaching and social emotional supports into content delivery
- Engage with colleagues in conversations around inquiry-based problems of practice, and district spotlights
Meetings will occur the 4th Wednesday of the each month from 3:30 to 5 pm (the exceptions being the Dec 16 meeting, and three special sessions--Nov 4, Mar 3, and Jun 2--that will be integrated with other content areas*).
