Math Professional Learning Series for K-5 Teachers
This series is designed for K-5 teachers interested in revitalizing their math instruction!
Topics will include:
- Developing Students’ Math Identities
- Facilitating Effective Group Work with Diverse Learners
- Math Talks and Low Floor High Ceiling Tasks
- Using Formative Assessment to Drive Instruction
- Increasing and Improving Mathematics Discourse
- Digging Into the Revised CA Math Framework

The Mathematics Framework Series will support the forthcoming California State revision of the Mathematics Framework for 2022. The integrated program is intended for teacher leaders, school counselors, and principals (meeting jointly and separately). We will have regular Community of Practice meetings throughout the county to connect, learn, and design around specific major shifts proposed in the CA Math Frameworks impacting the work of teachers, counselors and principals. The ongoing Series began with a pre-meeting on July 28.
