    School Safety &
    Emergency Preparedness

    Mission
To promote and support safe school environments that protect and nurture the physical, academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students and staff.

    Vision
Our communities, our families, our students, and our staff place their trust in schools to foster and maintain a safe environment every day and during times of natural or human- caused disasters. We will lead, support, and partner with staff, students, parents, emergency responders, and community organizations to ensure that all Alameda County schools are adequately equipped to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergency and crisis situations. We will help schools be safe and secure for all students, staff, and guests - free of disruptive violence and other harmful acts - where students are situated in a learning environment that protects and nurtures their physical, academic, social, and emotional well-being and growth.
