• Opportunity Academy's
    Online Enrollment Process

Enrollment forms are available online here.

The enrollment form is fillable. By using your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop, download a copy of the enrollment form, save it, fill it out, and email it back to aoaenrollment@acoe.org.  Once your enrollment form has been received you may receive a phone call to verify any information. If there is space, a teacher will be assigned to you and schedule a registration meeting. Student should provide a transcript, IEP/504 Plan if applicable, and a copy of immunization records for those students under 18 years old. The school can request copies of students’ transcripts if a transcript request form is completed and emailed to aoaenrollment@acoe.org. If there is a waitlist, applicants will be chosen through a lottery process.

Enrollment Process for Opportunity Academy School

  • Admission

ACOE Opportunity Academy desires to admit any eligible student without regard to nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, disability, perceived disability, or any other characteristics. All eligible students will be admitted, subject to space availability, and enrollment will be ongoing, rather than limited to the traditional beginning of the school year.

    Admission Process

    • Step 1: Interested students will attend a private orientation with their instructor and parent or guardian, if applicable. Students will get a brief description of the school program and how it differs from other school options. They will be provided a description of ACOE Opportunity Academy's curriculum, enrichment programs, attendance expectations, grading, evaluation procedures and graduation standards.
    • Step 2: If a student chooses to enroll in ACOE Opportunity Academy, the instructor assigned to the student, or the school secretary, will schedule a registration appointment. The student should bring to this appointment a copy of his/her last school transcript, his/her IEP or 504 Plan, if applicable, and a completed application form. If under 18, the student must also be accompanied by his/her parent/guardian and bring a copy of his/her immunization records.

    Lottery

If the number of eligible students who wish to attend ACOE Opportunity Academy exceeds the school’s capacity, attendance will be determined by lottery. If a lottery is necessary due to space limitations, it will be held within two weeks of the determination. Once the lottery is completed, all students not admitted shall be placed on a waiting list, which will remain active for the balance of the academic year. Should a vacancy occurs during the academic year, students on the waiting list will be offered admission in the order in which their names were drawn in the lottery.
