    Executive leadership coaching has been an essential practice in the private sector for over 40 years. Now ACOE is poised to provide your leaders with individualized leadership coaching and professional development that is targeted and differentiated to meet specific needs.  Our coaching model provides leadership growth toward a variety of outcomes that are based upon the needs of the leader, targeted at growth areas that are collaboratively identified, and are nested within the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSELs). Whether just starting out or a successful veteran administrator, a leader can benefit by the opportunity for reflection and learning through a non-supervisory partnership.

    Leadership Coaching focuses on either a performance goal, where an administrator may have received feedback about or self-identified a need to improve a particular skill or behavior; or a developmental goal, where the administrator is interested in evolving his/her leadership.

    ACOE defines Leadership Coaching as a learning partnership between a coach and administrator in service of the development of leadership capacity in the principal. As a team, the pair identify growth goals, and through cycles of inquiry and action, the principal develops the self-awareness, skills, and strategies to achieve those goals.

    Coaching is available to schools and districts on a fee-for-service basis.

Meet Daisy Morales, Director

  • Daisy Morales

    Dr. Daisy Morales is Director of Leadership for the Alameda County Office of Education, serving new administrators seeking their Clear Administrative Credential. Dr. Morales believes in serving people, building trust, and fostering collaboration to shift the climate and culture of organizations and implement strategies that have transformative results.

    Dr. Morales received an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University and MA in Education from San Jose State University.

    Dr. Morales is vice president of the California Association of Latino Superintendents and Administrators (CALSA) and is active in the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS).
