Reopening Stories from Our Schools
Alameda County is in the Orange Tier under the State of California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy. All TK-12 schools in Alameda County may implement reopening plans for a return to in-person instruction, in accordance with the California Department of Public Health’s Reopening In-Person Instruction Framework and the Alameda County School Reopening Guidance.
These include requirements that schools complete and post a COVID-19 Safety Plan (CSP) to their website homepage 5 days prior to reopening for in-person instruction. The CSP consists of a Cal/OSHA COVID19 Prevention Program (CPP) and COVID-19 School Guidance Checklist.
Alameda County Office of Education will continue to assist our schools and districts in following state and local guidelines by ensuring educational leaders, educators, and the community have support and the most current information and resources available.
