AISHA KNOWLES Interagency Representative Trustee, Area 4 The unincorporated communities of Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, Hayward Acres, San Lorenzo and portions of unincorporated Alameda County territory north of Castro Valley, a small northern area of Hayward along Foothill Boulevard and B Street, and a majority of the city of San Leandro to the northern boundary line of Dutton Avenue. AISHA KNOWLES has an extensive public service background and is committed to improving the lives of youth by strengthening school and community support. She currently serves as the Public Information Officer for the Alameda County Fire Department.

Knowles has served as Chairperson of the Ashland Citizen’s Advisory Committee and as District 4 Representative of the Alameda County Commission on the Status of Women. She is the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of San Leandro and currently serves on the Club's Board of Directors. She is also a past member of the Board of Directors for Building Futures with Women & Children and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Boys and Girls Club of San Leandro and the San Leandro Business Association of Southern San Leandro (BASSL). Knowles is Past-President of the Alameda County Board of Education and is the founding representative of ACBE’s new advisory position on Countywide Events and Charter Schools.

Aishal Knowles is a native of Hayward and now resides in Ashland. She has also studied abroad in the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica, and has participated in Rotary International service projects in Guatemala and Honduras.
