ACOE-IT serves ACOE programs, school districts, and other government agencies in Alameda County. We provide effective, innovative, and reliable technology solutions for education and government. We negotiate preferred pricing agreements with industry vendors and are an E-Rate service provider connected to CENIC's California Research and Education Network (CalREN).

Services for Education & Government Agencies
Alameda County Office of Education is the internet service provider of all of the school districts and multiple charter schools in Alameda County.
ACOE is a node site for CENIC's California Research and Education Network (CalREN), a multi-tiered, advanced network-services fabric serving the majority of research and education institutions in the state. We currently have a 100Gbps to CENIC. We have two 10Gbps backup connections to the internet with Comcast and AT&T.

Our internet and firewall service is E-Rate eligible. We will match any reputable provider's pricing. Prices include router, transport, and ACOE port cost. Prices do not include any internal or external construction costs that might be required for delivery of service. Current customer rates will be prorated for capacity upgrades (based on a 12-month commitment).

Services for ACOE Programs
The ACOE Service Desk provides technology support via phone and e-mail to districts and schools within Alameda County. We provide a single point of contact to the end-user and are responsible for the ownership of all calls.
We support the County Office of Education staff and Conference Center visitors with equipment setup and troubleshooting. The Service Desk also serves as the administrative backbone for Technology Services by handling all documentation for SLA's, vendor contracts, and e-rate. We are also responsible for reporting on the performance against said agreements.
Among the support services provided are:
- Technical support for software and hardware issues
- Notification about virus, spyware, or other security issues
- Updating user account information (including resetting of passwords)
- Software and hardware recommendations provided for purchase of IT equipment
